Note: The Cube is inserted as a 2D preview. For a particularly realistic effect, room photos taken from an angle or slightly diagonally work best.
80–100 cm (table/hip height). Don't shoot from above – it distorts the Cube's proportions.
Straight on or slightly over the corner. A gentle side angle looks especially natural.
At least 30–40 cm of floor in frame. The Cube sits on the floor and needs its space.
Even daylight or indoor lighting. No harsh backlight directly from the window.
Less distraction lets the Cube shine. A plain wall in the background is ideal.
Both portrait and landscape work. Landscape feels more natural for room photos.

How does the Cube in the Room preview tool work?
You configure your Cube in the COLB configurator (size, material, tile and grout colour), then switch to the tool. There you upload your own room photo or pick one of our sample rooms. The Cube is placed automatically – you can drag it, adjust size and rotation and download the result as an image.
Does my photo stay private?
Yes. The photo never leaves your browser – it is processed locally only and not uploaded anywhere.
Which photo works best?
Ideally a photo taken from about 80–100 cm height, slightly from the side or straight on, with the floor clearly visible (at least 30 cm) and even light without harsh backlight.
Is the tool free?
Yes, the Cube in the Room preview tool is completely free and needs no sign-up.
